Christ the Servant Anglican Church is a community of welcoming and compassionate disciples of Jesus who seek to rest in the Lord rejoice in God and participate in the renewal of all nations and all creation.

Our Church

Christ the Servant is a community of people seeking God's kingdom here in Rome as it is in heaven. We want to see our local communities participate in the reconciliation and healing of Jesus.

We meet in the South Rome Community Center in order to be a healing presence in a systemically marginalized community. The center is in a garden, a perfect place for us to rest, rejoice, and seek renewal (Isaiah 58:10–12). Right now, we gather on Sunday afternoons for evening prayer and a free, family-style dinner. We also have weekly small groups that anyone can be a part of!

We are a place where all are welcome, whether Christian or curious, single or a family, young or old. No matter your background or identity, we're excited to meet you and spend time with you.

Our Values

1. Authentic Community

Through our evening prayer service, shared meals, and small groups, we are able to live closely with one another. This allows space for life-on-life encouragement and growth.

2. Service

We want to practice acts of justice and mercy wherever we go. We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community by bringing healing and restoration.

3. Kid Friendly

Our younger members participate in evening prayer and have their own time for devotions and play time. All of our childcare workers and volunteers have been trained with MinistrySafe.

4. Anglicanism

We are part of the broader Anglican Church of North American (ACNA). For more information, click here.

How do I give?

Our Name

Christ the Servant highlights the way Christ lived, died, and still works his redemption as resurrected King. As his followers, we are to seek the good of others first and foremost. Philippians 2 illustrates this calling directly:

"Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross."

- Philippians 2:5-8 (ESV)
"I think Christ the Servant is a place that welcomes and loves children, believes in the importance of true rest, and the breaking of bread together."
